At Janet Z Real Estate, we eat, breathe, and sleep real estate. We answer our clients’ calls and texts 24/7—and when one of us is tied up with a transaction, the other is always available. We’re passionate about architecture, design, and the smart investments that make a house a home. In addition to our work as Realtors, we enjoy buying, renovating, renting, and selling our own personal properties. On the rare occasion we vacation, we travel to destinations known for their residential architecture to marvel and learn. 

If real estate weren’t our job, it would be our full-time hobby. It’s our passion.

Dave Sean Scott

A Realtor known for getting deals done since 2006 (and a building contractor before that), Dave has worked in the Fort Collins-area real-estate market for more than 30 years. What he loves most is getting to know people, matching them up with their perfect home, and even assisting them in getting settled. He considers it a privilege to live here and to help others do the same. 

Dave manages Janet Z’s Fort Collins office. Both he and Janet work as Buyer or Seller Agents, which means if you partner with them, they will always represent your best interests throughout the entire process. In addition, both are members of the National Realtor Association, which certifies their Realtor® status and assures clients that they adhere to regulations to safeguard your purchase or sale of residential property. 

With his contracting background, Dave has personally purchased, fixed up, rented, and sold many homes throughout Northern Colorado. He’s well-versed in both the owner-occupied and rental markets. He’s good at seeing a property’s potential and, when needed, helping buyers embark on a successful remodel. He’s also very knowledgeable about the mountain communities west of the Front Range. 

Over the years Dave and Janet have owned several businesses in addition to Janet Z Real Estate, including Fort Collins Brewery. In his spare moments, Dave is an excellent chef, vintage Porsche aficionado, and European bike collector. He has sponsored the Ed Carroll West Fest car show and helped found the Fort Collins Artist Studio Tour.

Dave’s wife and business partner, Janet runs Janet Z’s Boulder office. Having grown up in Boulder and graduated from CU, she understands the Boulder-area market like only a hometown agent can.
